Principal's Message

Welcome to St Teresa's College, Abergowrie, proudly serving families since 1933. Established by the Christian Brothers at the request of the Bishop of Townsville, our College has a rich rural heritage and a longstanding commitment to providing exceptional education, particularly for boys from rural and remote communities.

Over the past decade, we have become known for our outstanding support of Indigenous Australian students, welcoming families from regions throughout Queensland.

As a Catholic residential boarding school, we partner closely with families to offer students a holistic and enriching educational experience. Located in the beautiful Herbert River Valley, just 38 km from Ingham on Warrgamay land, our inclusive community represents more than 40 different communities and speaks up to 70 languages and dialects.

We embrace the richness of our diversity, welcoming students from many faith traditions to live out the message of Jesus Christ and experience the truth and challenge of the Gospel.

We warmly invite you to visit us or contact us via email, phone, or fax to explore how St Teresa’s College can support your son's educational journey. We look forward to welcoming your family to our community.

Yours Sincerely,

Rachel Cavalot - Acting Principal

We Give Thanks...

“St Teresa's College would like to acknowledge the Warrgamay People, the Traditional Owners of this Country, who freely lived and hunted here as recently as the 1940's. We acknowledge the hospitality of the Warrgamay People, the hospitality of this land, and the reciprocal relationship the College enjoys with their current generations."
